Outreach Ministry and Mission
opportunities:
Each month we as a church help to
support missionaries in Honduras and
Zambia, as well as the Life Without
Limbs Ministry. We also
support the Servant's Heart Ministry
and Child Evangelism Fellowship,
both local ministries.
Child
Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) is an
organization that is reaching
elementary school age children with
the Gospel through after school and
summer Bible Clubs.
Nick
Vujicic, founder of "Life Without
Limbs", has a unique testimony.
Nick was born without arms or legs,
but that hasn't stopped him from
fulfilling the Great Commission by
spreading the Gospel throughout the
world. To learn more about
this outreach visit their website at
www.lifewithoutlimbs.org .
"Loving the Least of These
Ministry" sends missionaries to
Honduras. As part of their
ministry they have a school for
children who otherwise would be
unable to get an education.
You can sponsor a child for $30.00
per month. If you would like to make
this commitment or any other
contribution please visit their
website at
www.lovingtheleastofthese.org
for more information.
Elizabeth Ratliff is a missionary to
the people of Zambia including
prison inmates. She is so
grateful for our prayers in addition
to her financial support. We
also collect food items and other
things that are impossible to
get where she is. Suggested
items for Elizabeth are:
Splenda, sugar-free jello, soft
tortilla wraps, sugar-free gum,
nuts, raisins, dry beans, and zip
lock gallon size freezer bags.
Please check the more detailed list
posted on her box or see Lori
Sunday with any questions.
Each
Saturday two to four people from
Southside assist Servant's
Heart by delivering boxes of
groceries to single mothers who are
in need. If you would like to
donate items for the boxes the
most needed items are
bathroom
tissue and powdered milk
(packages with individual pouches
are best). Canned goods and
nonperishable items are also needed.
For information on participating in
packing boxes or delivering them,
please see Lori Sunday.
Monetary donations which enable
Servant's Heart to buy chickens to
be delivered with the canned goods
are also appreciated.
If you
would like to contribute to our Food
Ministries there are boxes set up
for donations in the room by the
sanctuary foyer. Any of the
items listed above are appreciated.
